Basics Merino Wool Onesie Eggplant

The singlets of this brand were amazing so I had high hopes for this onesie but was disappointed. We have merino onesies from other brands and they’re far better quality and fit. This one is very thin and has pilled immediately which is mentioned on the website but was still disappointed to see it occur after the first pre-wear wash. It also seems to have become stretched/loose and baggy which did not happen with the singlets and warmer onesie of this brand. Also - the arms are sooooo long we have to fold them back over up past our babies elbow and they constantly slip down over her hands at night. It’s likely we won’t use this one very often unless I hem the sleeves.

These feel great and look lovely, I sized up and they are perfect (long baby). As per other reviews they have balled a little around the leg cuffs in particular (from kicking in the sleeping bag for a couple of wears) plus they are a narrow fit. However I am really happy with the quality as expected, perfect stitching, soft feel, covered zips at the closure. Not quite as warm as I hoped for but the fabric weight is clearly listed on the website. I also love this kiwi green colour.

quite a disappointment :(
