*Due to the nature of merino wool, please be aware some pilling may result with wash and wear. This is a naturally occurring property of merino wool and does not affect the wearability of the sleepwear in any way.
size and fit
Our inner layers (such as singlets and pyjamas) are designed with a slim fit and sit close to the body. Our outer layers have a more relaxed fit to allow for comfortable layering underneath, with added length to help cover hands and feet.
care and washing
The good news is that all of our Merino wool garments are machine washable. We recommend using a wool cycle where possible, but a gentle cycle works well too — just be sure to wash in cold water. Shrinkage can occur when wool is exposed to heat and friction, particularly with fully knitted garments, so keeping the water cold is key.
Our pieces can be tumble dried on low heat or an air-dry setting. That said, Merino wool dries quickly on its own, so laying flat to dry is often the safest option.
We also recommend
- Close all zips before washing
- Use a laundry or delicates bag where possible to reduce friction and protect against zippers or hooks
Please refer to the care label on each garment for detailed washing instructions.
About the Natural Wool Smell
New to wool? Merino wool has a very distinctive smell when it is wet — many people describe it as similar to a “wet dog” smell. This is a completely natural and unavoidable characteristic of wool, and in fact, it’s one of the ways you can tell the garment is made from 100% Merino wool.
If you’re not used to it, the smell can be unpleasant while the garment is wet. The good news is that once the garment is fully dry, the smell is no longer obvious. There is nothing you need to do to remove it — simply allow the garment to dry properly and the smell will naturally improve.
As an animal fibre, wool has an odour that is different from cotton or synthetic fabrics. This is normal, not a defect, and not harmful to your child. You may notice the smell is strongest when garments are first washed or received, but it becomes much less noticeable once dry.
Materials and transparency
We use premium Merino wool sourced from Australia, known for its softness, durability, and natural performance. Our garments are then knitted and manufactured in China in partnership with trusted, certified manufacturers who align with our quality and ethical values.
Our manufacturing partners hold internationally recognised certifications, including:
- BSCI, ensuring fair and ethical working conditions
- OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, confirming our garments are free from harmful substances and safe for sensitive skin
- Woolmark Licence, guaranteeing the authenticity and quality of the Merino wool
- RWS (Responsible Wool Standard), supporting responsible land management and animal welfare
Although our wool is not yet certified organic, we are committed to ongoing improvement and are actively exploring more sustainable and organic options for the future.

My boy is now 5 years old, and I've bought your sleepsuits, in particular the sleeveless merino sleepsuit, yearly in a new size as he grows! The last 3 years - colder nights have been easy with these sleepsuits. PLEASE PLEASE keep making them in the larger kids sizes. No need to stress out a kid learning to keep a blanket on - I'd rather he get quality sleep through the night for 11 hours!
Good quality, light and soft
My son (2y) s not a big fan of sleepsuits but he is kind of ok with putting this one on, I assume because it's loose and soft. It's already quite warm (21degrees)in his room soIonly put a longsleeve underneath and he sleeps without a blanket. The pyjama I bought here is his favourite though.
My baby has lived in these sleep suits day and night this winter. I love knowing he’s toasty warm when the temperature drops overnight and the quality is incredible, the suits are so soft. These suits are my #1 best baby item purchase!
We’ve been lucky enough to be gifted Hello nights from friends in the past, but this was our first purchase. The sleepsuit is so cosy and is the perfect size for my nearly 5 year old. The socks we received were so warm that I’ve just placed another order for a pair for the whole family!
